hi folks,
I am a novice in the field of PLC. I am using seimens simatic manager and i wanted to know whether i can simulate any ladder logic program in it without a seimens PLC..

The option to STEP7 called PLCSIM can do it.
STEP7 PRO includes PLCSIM.

Thankss a lot for the advice.. also i would like to know the steps to simulate a program. for eg if i have done a ladder program on timer.. how do i get the resulting waveform... plzz help me out on the steps after ladder program to simulate it... thanks in advance..

You just download the program to PLCSIM in the same way as you would to a real PLC.
The program will behave just as in a real PLC.
You can set the inputs manually in the PLCSIM program.
You can monitor the addresses in PLCSIM, or online in the STL/LAD/FBD editor, or online in a VAT.
