Set time on a Simatic Touch Basic(KTP) w/TIA Portal

Hey guys, I'm having a bit a trouble getting the time set on my HMI.

On screen I have a Date/Time Field, I have it checked to use system time (in properties).

The problem: it doesn't want to update time from the S7-1200.

I have seen some code examples to sync time between the HMI and PLC, but is it really needed in this situation? What is the "System Time" checkbox for, if thats the case?
 
Check under the Connection folder in the project (HMI) and look for area pointer. The area pointers are used to transfer date/time and other data between HMI and PLC. Like Global Connections in ME.

DVP-14SS2 program does not Run after Power Reset
