Hello all, just wondering what kind of communication protocols does Siemens PLC hardware speak, example, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethercat, Profibus, ect.

Profibus and Profinet are your two main types. Profinet is the industrial Ethernet protocol and very widely used.

Use ProfiNet. It can transfer more information and faster.
