Simulation Using Software - Siemens S7

Hello everyone,

Short description: We want to simulate PLC outputs to test alarms. Is it possible to do it just by connecting to the PLC?

Available software: Simatic Step 7 and Simatic WinCC

Excuse me if I haven't provided enough details, I am new to these things.

Which CPU are you using, as long as its not to expensive I've often found it easier to stick the cpu on my desk & run the code off that

Pete, yes, I want to force I/Os; I have PLCSIM software available.

Thanks Ashley, I have the software available. But I have no idea about the CPU.
