Hi there. I would appreciate anyones help with the following problem ......
We have recently installed an Allen Bradley PLC system which uses a 1747-L551 Processor (Ser B, Rev 4, OS501). However with the many additions that the client had requested we ran out of user memory. We therefore decided to upgrade to a 1747-L552 (Ser C, Rev A, OS501) Processor.
When I changed the processor type in RSLogix (offline) it asked me if I wanted to resize data tables (as expected) which I confirmed, but when it recompiled the program I received the following error;
"ERROR: BTW instruction is not valid on the currently selected processor -> 1747-L552".
This message was displayed for all BTW and BTR instructions (which I use for analogue cards in my remote I\O racks through 1747-SN & ASB modules.
I realise that Block Transfer instructions must still be supported by SLC processors but can find no reason for the messages.
regards
Steve
