software for slc 500

Hey guys,
I'm very new to the plc world this is my first post in PLCs.net Can anyone give me some places to look for slc 500 software that I could put on my laptop or home computer thanks for the help.

For the MicroLogix 1000 and 1100 there is free software:

Micro Starter Lite and RSLinx

Download the Micro Starter Lite (without RSLinx) for offline programming.

Download RSLinx Lite for connecting/downloading to the PLC

The Connected Components Workbench for the Micro800 controllers is available:

Connected Components Workbench

For all other PLC software contact your local Allen Bradley distributor.

No need to buy the Micro Starter Lite, because it can quickly and freely be download from the Allen Bradley site.
