Standard for hardwired interface between two PLC independent system

Dear Experts,

We have two PLC independent PLC panels with two independent controllers ,

we need to make hardware splitting for some AI and DI signals by hardwired splitters to connect these signals to both systems , but our client need a standard recommendation like IEC,IEEE standards to agreed on this solution ,can any one share the documents referred to this solution acceptance
