Standard for hardwired interface between two PLC independent system

Dear Experts,

We have two PLC independent PLC panels with two independent controllers ,

we need to make hardware splitting for some AI and DI signals by hardwired splitters to connect these signals to both systems , but our client need a standard recommendation like IEC,IEEE standards to agreed on this solution ,can any one share the documents referred to this solution acceptance

DIs should be easily done with relays.

even though you are in Egypt, look at NFPA 79, standard handbook for electrical machinery for help in regards to color codes and interface wiring.
