timer in gx developer

I am new to gx developer and I can't seem to get the proper syntax to set up a timer or counter. I have looked through the manuals but hey are not very specific. Something so simple and it's driving me absolutely nuts.

---(T0 K10)-| Use a timer as a coil. Timer T0 times for 1 second (K10). Use T0 contacts seperately
