trying to keep modicon 484 alive a bit longer

We have a old 484 and wanted to add a timer to delay a condiction in a network We have the ldp software but no manuals can anyone tell us where to find info on how a timer is connected and how the connections effect the logic. it seems alot different the AB timer.

I don't know about Idp software but with Modsoft or Proworx using 984 Ladder Logic it looks like this...

T1.0 timer

timer accumulates in seconds       |-------|

when top and bottom inputs    -----| timer |--- accum time     

are ON                             | preset|    = timer preset

                                   |       |

OFF= accumulator reset to 0        |  T1.0 |

ON = timer accumulating       -----| accum.|--- accum time

                                   | time  |    < timer preset

                                   |-------|
