I am trying to figure out if I can use a old L73S I have laying around for a test PLC for my current project. I dont have the safety partner but want to test some produce/consume and am trying to figure out if I can use the L73s as a basic L73 (without partner) the manuals allude to needing a partner for SIL3 (which I dont need) but I am not sure how to set them up for SIL1 or really no safety. You must use 1756-L7SP partner with L7xS. It can't be used without a partner

L8xS processors can work without a partner in SIL2 mode.
