Good Afternoon,

I plan on replacing some SLC 500 PLC's with CompactLogix. Could you tell me what the equivalent processor is in the CompactLogix family to the SLC 500 1747-L553B/C 5/05 processor.

Thanks so much in advance ,

Probably low-end 5069-L310ER, or 1769-L16ER, what sort of IO does the SLC use and how much? Are you replacing IO or converting the SLC IO racks to Ethernet using a 1747-AENTR?

Are you going to re-write and use Logix features like AOIs, UDTs? Probably going to come down to price and how much memory you want, and the IO system you want to use..

About a total of 11. About 5 - 1746-IB16 , 4 - 1746-OW16 , 2 Analog Output Cards. I would like to use the conversion tool. I imagine the tag-based processors require more mamory , correct ? I would like to be somewhat "robust" and use the 1769-L33ER. That may be an overkill. I also have a PLC 5 that I need to change out.
