WinCC compatibility with Vista

Hi, I have a problem with getting a compatible version of WinCC for my laptop running Windows Vista Business.

Originally I had WinCC flexible 2007 (when I had XP on my last laptop). Now that I am using Vista, I ordered a copy of WinCC flexible 2008 (actually the upgrade pack from 2004/2005/2007).

The problem is that it seems only WinCC 2008 SP2 is compatible with Vista, but I can't get just SP2, by default Siemens sent me WinCC flexible 2008 with SP3

Does anyone know either
a) is there a way to get Vista to run with SP3
b) is there a way to get WinCC 2008 with just SP2 (and SP1
i suppose).

Has anyone had a similar experience?
Any help appreciated.

Hi Combo, I agree. Some of the other Simatic processes crash regularly also, so I've come to the conclusion to setup a virtual XP environment with VMWare and run all my Siemens applications on that.
