Adding comments/destriptions in module defined data type tags?

Hi PLCs.net!

I'm using Studio5k V32, and I have an EDS file for the Fanuc 30r-ib plus controllers.

I have an excel spreadsheet with bitwise description of 10 bytes of data for input and output each. Is there a way to get the IO descriptions out from fanuc and into the tags?

I have already manually copied them over, but I was just wondering if there is a better way?

I suppose you could write a VBA script to poke the descriptions into a Word copy of the L5K export file, but it sounds like a lot of work, and as you say you've already manually inserted the comments/descriptions.


Perhaps get it ready for the next time ....
