I've used Banner for RTD's, thermocouples and 4-20's but not for discretes.

I called the factory to find out whether either PNP or NPN wiring would draw battery power with a dry contact level switch wired to a DI on a battery powered 'flex power' node radio (Performance P5, 18142) and was told that the radios can not handle dry contact inputs.

Is that really true? The wiring drawings use classic switches:

Huh? Must be some misunderstanding.

We have one of this and we use one of the input wired to a limit as a closure temper switch. It's just a dry contact and their diagram also shows the same.
