All I have ever done before is ME programing and 1 se project as a local applacation but nothing networked.

We have a thin client running with a HMI server, My boss wants to change a feature on a screen.

I have no clue how to access the project.

I don't have the file at all on my laptop the server and client are hooked up to a cisco switch but I dont have an ip address for it.

So how do I access this project?

If this is a network application then you need to connect to the FactoryTalk Network Directory. Use the Specify FactoryTalk Directory Location (Start-Programs-Rockwell Software-FactoryTalk Tools) tool to connect. You will be asked for a valid user name and password for the FT directory.

Once you have successfully connected then in FT View specify that you want to open a network application and the application will automatically appear in the list of projects. Studio does not have to be (and really should not be) on the same machine acting as the HMI Server. You can edit the application from any machine on the network directory.
