I have a project that has been ongoing for 6 years now. Constantly updating the program adding and removing components to the machine. Anyone ever use a revision control software to manage their PLC program files? After so many years I have hundreds of files and I have a internal naming structure that works but isn't great. Just wondering what everyone uses. Thanks

I have used a couple of different change management packages. It makes changes easy to track and fall back is even easier. Try versionworks or MDT. You can search it as well there are many threads on this forum.

I just use V2, V3 and the like followed by the date - sorting is pretty easy that way.
