I'm a newbie here, but have been reading this forum for a couple of weeks.
This is a good website to learn from. I am just an industrial electrician, and
may not have alot to contribute to many of the discussions here. But at my
place of employment we have various types of plcs. Primarily GE 9020, 9030,
9070, series one, series six, and some seriously old Texas Instruments 5TI
PM550 with the trusty old VPU200 programmer. And I have seen alot of the
quirks of these devices. I'm no professional programmer but have written
some code for small applications. I am really interested in some of the newer
types of ethernet capable PLCs and their ability to exchange data across a
LAN attached to an HMI. If anyone has a GE, older TI plc controller I hope
I can help out.
