Im a mechatronics instructor at a local community college. I have a couple of motor control questions and would definitely appreciate any help. Ive enclosed a wiring diagram of the 3 phase motor we are using in our labs. Can I assume from this diagram that the motor is wired in a Wye configuration?
The second question is our lab has 3 phased wired to it. Each phase has 120V and 208 across phases - I would assume with this setup I would wire the motor in the low voltage configuration. Also if I was in Europe and each phase was 240V - I would wire it in the high voltage config?
I like to have a backup project for some of my eager students and we're going to be using the powerflex 525 VFDs. I have a load of panelview HMIs lying around also. Is it possible to directly control the 525s using the panelviews without a PLC? Some of my students might not have used a PLC yet so I cant really use the PLCs in this course.
Any advice is defo appreciated. Thank you for all the help.
