Hello,
I have an Allen-Bradley setup with an SLC 5/04 and two PanelView 900, one running on DH+ (2711-K9C8X) and one that was running on DH485 (2711-K9C9). I've replaced the panel running on DH485 with a more modern terminal (part of a series of upgrades we did on the client's system), so I now have it as a spare part.
I would like to be able to leave the terminal that was running DH485 as a spare for the first terminal. My original hope was that I could program the screen to act the like the first one, and all the guys would have to do is swap out the daughter boards on the panels to give the spare DH+ capabilities. After looking into it its looking like that is not a possibility.
My question is: Does someone know of a way to change the firmware on the panel to give it DH+ capability? If not, is there a way to put the DH485 screen on the DH+ network and make it work that way.
Just as an FYI: The screen on DH+ is a fair distance from everything else with only the DH+ cable running to it, so changing wiring is not too feasible.
Thank you
