PLC Characteristics, Unitary, Modular and Rack Mounted

Hi all,

I am very new to PLC's as a subject but am keen to learn!
I am taking this subject at HNC/D level and have no previous knowledge on the subject.

I have been asked to write about PLC basic Chaacteristics and the 3 types of PLC stated in the title.

I also need to discuss the types of input and output devices, will this mean sensores ge heat, movmenr, weight etc?

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

You could try a search of this site using "Unitary", "Modular", and "Rack Mounted" as keywords. Beware though, that's not for the faint of heart.
