Hey guys,
Could do with your input here. I'm currently looking into a new interlock system, and was thinking about using RFID tags but haven't done a great deal with them before & hope you could help set me straight.
Here's an example of what i am trying to achieve:
When a operator connects "Pipe A" to "Connection A" I want to be able to know that its Pipe A connected. Then if the operator connects "Pipe B" to "Connection A" I also want to know that it is Pipe B connected.
We have done before with proximity switches which gave the PLC give a different binary value depending on the pipe connected. What i want to know is can i have a RFID tag on each pipe & then a RFID reader on each of the connections?
