Rockwell MAPC cam lock position

If f.i. the slave axis has to start the camming not from the beginning of the cam but somewhere in between, the parameter 'cam lock position' has to be used in the instruction MAPC. So you have to check the position of the master that corresponds to the actual position of the slave, in the cam profile.
I succeed in starting the cam from that position. But it seems I have no control on how the slave will accelerate on starting that part of the cam an the velocity used when starting.
In my case I have the velocity at start will be higher the 'normal' slave velocity in the cam. I should want to have influence on that starting speed, but at the same time preserve that when the slave gets synchronous to the cam, that position of master and slave correspond to the absolute values in the cam, and are not shifted.
