Dear Members,
I have to establish a connection b/w S7300 PLC with CP 343-1 lean and S7400H system with two CPUs and two Ethernet CPs CP443-1. The physical connection is Ethernet. I need some advice on what type of connection should i use in netpro and what Function Blocks i shall use to achieve this. Also i want to have a redundant connection b/w the two stations. I know it is not possible with S7300 but i know there are some programming options when you make two independent connections in S7300 one with each S7400 CP. I need a sample program if any of you have implemented this logic. Also i want to know if i can use communication by MAC addresses with CP 343-1 LEAN. As i have found that CP343-1 LEAN doesnot support ISO and thus may not support MAC address communication. Any advice from senior members and experts will b very much appreciated. Thanx.

Hello Inayat.

How about a simple PUT block in each of the S7-400H stations.
Each S7-400H writes cyclically in a separate DB in the S7-300.
One of the transmitted data is a life-bit. When the lifebit stops changing the S7-300 knows that the connection to that S7-400H has been interrupted.
This is just one way of several to do it, but surely the easiest.

You cannot use ISO and thus also not the MAC address in the CP343-1 LEAN.
