Dear frz, i got a serious issue on handling PLC. I had a program downloaded(FULL DOWNLOAD) onto the CPU. After the program execution, entire SYSTEM- PLC, I/O MODULES completely powers off. Even with the input supply to the PLC still active!!! pls help me out!!!

First you need an electrician with a multimeter.

Check the grounding and the M (0V) -connections.

Disconnect all equipment and reconnect one after one unit utill the failure occurs.

If the failure occurs when you restart the PLC, there could be a short one or more of your outputs.

Do you use a Siemens S7 supply? If it is shorted you will probably hear some noise (ticking) from it..

Still the same problem if you disconnect all front connectors but leave input to CPU?

Did you do a clear/reset or clear the MMC before you downloaded?

Do you know the code you downloaded is 'good'

Did you download the correct hardware configuration

Is the CPU run light green? Stop light red?

Check module information -> stack report if stop light is red
