Hi,

I have a question regarding the memory addressing in a modicon plc.

I have some bit vars:
%M0, %M1, %M2, %M3, %M4, %M5 ...

And some word vars:

%MW0, %MW1, %MW2, ....

Are %M space fully independent of %MW space ?!

Ex: If i write a 1 to %M0, will it change any bit in any of %MW bit ?!

Thanks in advance !

Yes, totally independent. But be aware of %MW, %MD and %MF. The occupy the same memory area.
