siemens 6ES7322-5GH00-0AB0 safe out card .

we are having issues with this card and the wiring . it says it can be ac or dc but the supply is dc. I know on a AB relay out card it acts like a dry contact . this one seems to show it drives both pos and neg. other coworkers do not think it works this way. what do you guys think? Siemens manual is useless. thanks,

the 24Vdc is the supply for the card
the wiring diagram uses standard symbols
the rectangular box is the relay coil
the round circle with both the wave and straight line is the supply you use
AC or DC
according to the Siemens website this card has 120 V max AC
