Hey Guys,

need help comparing Siemens FM 352 cam controller with S7-1500 input and output cards.

- Do i look for the input/output speeds ??
- cycling speed?

i am really confused....

the cam controller has a lot of info regarding times for example, 5V input -24V output speed 1-4 microseconds, 24V input to 24V output 1-6 microseconds.

how should go about this??

Thanks for the help.
Sam

They can
Experiment, in Portal setup a technology object with a digital output module
But I think the best performance is the TM module

thanks,

also, i would like to do a hardware comparison;

The S7-1500 I/O
Input delay (for rated value of input voltage)
for standard inputs
— parameterizable Yes; 0.05 / 0.1 / 0.4 / 1.6 / 3.2 / 12.8 / 20 ms
— at "0" to "1", min. 0.05*ms
— at "0" to "1", max. 20*ms
— at "1" to "0", min. 0.05*ms
— at "1" to "0", max. 20*ms

VS

TM Timer DIDQ;
Input delay (for rated value of input voltage)
● Minimum pulse width for program reactions 3 µs for parameterization "none"

is this a correct comparison??
