I have a brand new SLC 5/05 (FRN 10 or 11), connected to an ethernet switch, on which is also connected a pc running RSView32 and a touch screen. I have no problems until I connect the ethernet switch to my plant network, at which point, the ethernet comms on the SLC 5/05 lockup. The RSView application stops communicating as well as the touch screen. I can ping the pc that's running RSView from my laptop and recieve a response. When I try to ping the SLC 5/05 from my laptop, I recieve a timeout response. Also, when the RSView pc is connected to the network, I cannot ping the processor from the RSView pc. When its off the network, I can successfully ping the processor and everything works fine.
I've seen other posts that recommend changing the CIP settings in RSLinx. I've done this and it's made no difference. I've got other processors with SLC 5/05 processors with older firmware on the network that I have no problem with. I'm running older versions of RSLinx and RSView, I'm wondering if RSLinx could be the problem.
I've attached a screen shot of the ethernet configuration for this processor. I've been banging my head on the side of the control panel for 3 days now. I'm so desperate at this point that if anyone can help me solve this, I swear I'll send them a six pack of the next batch of homebrew I cook up.
