Upload from Motorola ACE

Yes and No. In order to upload the program from an ACE you need to know the communications password, baud rate of the serial port and hopefully the previous programmer stored the compiled program to flash. If the programmer did not store the program in flash memory than there is no way to get the program from the ACE. I call it inconvenient and Motorola calls it security.

Hope this helps and sorry I did not read it until now.
