Wireless IO options

I recently learned of the ILX34-AENWG from Prosoft, and unfortunately learned that it's been discontinued. Was there an issue with it? Are there alternatives to this? I like the idea of wireless I/O, and I know if can be done with router bridging, etc., but to have a native device like this is (was) great.

I've used Elpro gear a fair bit.

Normally only for adding one or two remote I/O, e.g. some nearby water reservoirs for a treatment plant. Low power so they work great on solar.

They also do I/O gateways so you can aggregate several remote I/O points and expose via modbus or Ethernet IP

The above link is for Field I/O from automation direct. It will use Modbus TCP or Ethernet I/O for communication.

You can use a ubiquity Nanostation for the point to point. (Wireless)
