I guess I should just ask if anyone can help with driver settings to use the the Click Programming port (fixed Modbus, 38400, 8, Odd, 1) and how I should configure the Red Lion to communicate. This is my first time with Modbus RTU to a HMI.
I just did a little project using a G304K and Click. Attached are the settings I used. I set up the G304K as the master, so aside from one rung of start/stop logic in the PLC, my entire program runs in the G304K.
You should have ZERO trouble getting this to work, Paul...
I didn't have the Click software installed on my home PC, and my version of the Crimson software was that 'non-genuine' build. Therefore, in order to look at my programs, I had to download and install both pieces of software.
Downloading AND installing BOTH took me LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES!!!... Why is it that the 'other brand' software takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R to install?!?!?!
Thank you, Red Lion and A-D (or Koyo, or Host, or whoever wrote the Click software). Well done!...
Thanks for the tips. I believe I may have a conflict related to various drivers on my home PC preventing the driver from working through the G3 Emulator.
