TIA Portal v13 Go online - not responding

Hello,

This started happening recently. I have 3 PLCs and I can get online with via Profinet with no issues but just recently, one of them every time I hit go online or even when I try to open an older archived version, TIA portal just loops and never responds. I have tried 2 different computers already with the same results, I've never experienced something like this before, any ideas why it will not respond? I'm able to ping the PLC.

Even with an empty program I can see the PLC from the TIA Portal 13 go online menu when I do the "start search" option. But when I try to connect to it, that's when it freezes and now I just realized it takes like 30 minutes to time out before I get an error saying the PLC is not reachable.

I was able to connect in the past with no issues and now nobody can. We'll try to reboot the PLC as soon as it is available since right now the plant is running and can't stop. With the other 2 PLCs I have no issues and the 3 of them are interacting between each other with no issues either.

What is the OS on your PC? I had issues when my PC after I updated the software (TIA) I was running W7 and upgraded to W10, everything was still good until I installed SP2 in TIA portal

If this is your issue, V14 just came out so it may help

Check your AV settings.
Siemens uses different protocols to connect to PLC's, I know at least one is blocked by Symantec.

Disable all firewalls and try again.

After rebooting the PLC I was able to connect again. I forgot to mention it is a s7 1500.

There were no faults nor alarms but I guess something must have gotten wrong in the PLC interface.
