Has anyone ever configured RSLinx to dial into a LAN modem to
access a SLC 5/05 that is connected to the LAN part of the
LAN modem?

I really believe this is likely possible, and want to save some
steps, if someone has really done it.

I do it all the time.

I have a step by step idiot proof manual I wrote that explains exactly what you are after using the 3Com 56K LAN Modem. It's too big to post but send me your e-mail address and I'll forward it to you. It's great for Ethernet access into a dial-up only site.
