Sequence of a controllogix redundancy

what is the sequence of a controllogix redundancy during a switch-over?. does the standby processor checks the IO tree before it displays "sync"?

If you drop the redundancy, and use two identical PLC's instead, with a little code you have a system that will never miss a beat :)
