Hi

Hopefully this should be an easy question to answer.

Can anyone tell me what I need to buy/make to connect my TP270 HMI screen to my S7-200 PLC via PPI. I assumed I needed the PPI programming cable but I am getting the feeling this is wrong.

From what I have seen it appears that I need an RS485 M/M cable but would this have standard pinouts?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Cheers

Darren

You can buy from Siemens a MPI cable or built your cable:

S7-200 pin 3 --------------------------- pin 3 TP270
pin 8 --------------------------- pin 8
