Am encountering the following errror message - 'comms port not recognised, change port'. Am using GX Dev FX with a FX0 plc. How do I go about configuring the comms port? Have tried various things but am stuck - appreciate any help, thanks.

So you are stuck and need some help... We can help
but try describing the problem a little better
(like provide us with some details...).

What is the GX Dev version, what is windows version,
what cable you use (is it SC09?), what com port you are
trying to use, are you using USB<>RS232 adapter or you
have real RS232 port, does the port work with other
applications...?

Default for GX is com1 but this is not available on all PCs.
When in doubt check what Device Manager has to say
(Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager).
Check to see if your PC has any com ports and if it does
what is/are the port number(s).
Maybe all you need is a driver or maybe some other application
is already using it. RSLinx for example like to keep it for
itself and so do some other programs.
You can test the port with Hyperterminal for example (comes with
every Windows).
