Ormec MotionBasic...

We just bought two 4-axis servo stamping machines at an auction (dirt cheap, very low 'mileage', AND they work!). They use the Ormec ServoWire system, so I'm looking at purchasing the MotionBasic software for the inevitable future modification.

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this stuff, or am I gonna be stuck figuring it out all by myself?...

I'm interested in all things to do with motion control. What exactly is this "MotionBasic" software? Is this something specific to Ormec hardware? Why do you feel you will have to upgrade the system? If it works, don't fix it.
