Hello,
I want to connect S7 v4.02 with CPU314C-2DP, but can't find in library. How to update the library, except replace S7 with newer version ? I can't find it in Siemens web.

Your STEP7 v4.02 is too old to support that CPU.
You need to upgrade your STEP7. Late versions of STEP7 allows you to install hardware updates from the internet.

i faced a similar problem before with the cpu 312 , i had a v5.1 and this cpu was not defined , to resolve this i installed new service pack , i don't know in your case if that would help

I had a similar issue with S7 v5.1 SP6 and a CPU (1CE01-0AA0).


My library had a 1CE00 but not a 1CE01.

I had to upgrade to S7 v5.3 to get find it in the library. Although in the interim I useda 1CE00 and it worked fine.

i have step7 5.2 and currently having 314c-2dp on table, i needed to download hw update only, because after installation it supports only old version of 314 cpu so it seems from my version to newer it shall work fine
