Controlling Plant using Visual Basic

Hi, all

I've a problem with my project. I want to control a process control (temperature & level data from tank) and visualized by visual basic. i use an omron plc cqm1h cpu51 to connect the i/o of the plant.

Can i implemented this project with no ladder from PLC? so i program the control process fully from VB?

The problem is how to communicate the VB with PLC without syswin 3.4?

Can you give the protocol code to open port serial omron cqm1h cpu51 (COMM)?

Give me an example of accessing serial communication with VB please?

The protocol you need is called Host Link.
