1747-DPS1 Port Splitter

Hi all.
I would like to use my PV1000 RS485 via AIC module with a SLC5/05 processor.
However, I would also like to use my barcode scanner.
Anyone get something like this to work with the AB Port Splitter?
I figure the Controller Port is self [font=&quot]explanatory[/font].
Network port is where the barcode reader goes. And the HMI port is well, where the PV1000 goes.
Of course I will need to buy/make the proper cables.

Any thoughts on this?
