SLC5/03<---DH-485--->PC communication setup

Hello all,I have a hardware connection below:

SLC 5/03 Channel 0<--->1761-CBL-PM02 cable<--->1761-NET-AIC<--->Belden 9842 cable<--->1761-NET-AIC<--->1761-CBL-PM02 cable<--->PC 9-pin D type RS-232 com1 port.

My question is how to setup RSLinx in PC, also how to configure SLC 5/03 Channel 0 parameters to make DH-485 communication work?

Sorry, I don't have my laptop available right now and hvve forgotten what settings to use. Off hand, whatever DH-485 or DF! settings apply; you may have to experiment.

With a SLC, the 1761 NET-AIC needs to be externally powered also.

Open the plc program, click on IO Configuration, then click on CH1 tab. Here the driver block should be set to DH485, the baud to 19200. Make sur ethe node address is set to 1 unless you want a different address. Next go to CH0 tab. The driver should be DF1 full duplex if you have a 9 pin serial port below your DH485 connector on the processor. Kepp the baud at 19200 and stop bits to 1, and no handshaking. This should be the correct setup for you. If not let me know what info you have for these settings.
