I'm trying to get information out of an Micro Logix 1100 PLC to an Control Logix PLC using messages.

How do I do this by reading the tags of the 1100 int the Control Logix.

An example how to do this will be helpfull as I am still new in the field of programming.
 
Both the Micro Logix 1100 and the Control Logix have both an RS-232 and a Ethernet / IP port.

Is your communication hookup via Ethernet / IP or RS-232?
