Uploading problem

I am using RSLogix 500 version 6.30.00. Can I upload a program from a slc 500 plc even if that program was created with a newer version of RSLogix 500?

Thanks. Do you have any idea on what could cause a decompiler error. I am getting this particular error message when I try to upload a program from a specific slc 500 plc.

The "yes" answer from kulyur was assuming that both versions support the processor. This is a MUST!

For example, try to start a new project in your old version of software. Under "processor type", the EXACT processor must be in that pull-down list, including "OS" and series.

I've been burned on this before and had to do an upgrade.

Best option is to upgrade your RSLogix500 software.
