Panel View Plus 600

Hello,



I have a PV+600 that I am having a difficult time locating the literature to guide me through interfacing with the PV so I can back up the program on my laptop. The RS232 port is being used to connect to the PLC leaving a RS485 port available for PC to PV communications. Does any one have some suggestions or literature links that can assist me? The part # is 2711P-T6M20A

Just to clarify: You want to connect to the PV DH485 port with a PC?

If so you'll need an interface card like a PCMK or similar for your PC/Laptop.
It would be cheaper/quicker/easier to just pop the RS232 cable off and connect that way for the short time you need to backup the .mer file.
Panelviews apps are compiled so you cant actually modify the .mer, so you would need the .apa to change anything.

(There is a super-secret way of extracting the .apa from the .mer but its messy and you lose quite a bit of the application.)

That PV+ has an ethernet port what is wrong with that?
