Hello all.

I'm trying to protect the recepies so that a worker, can just choose with wich recepie he will work with. Not change the recepie.
Only the shift boss should be able to change the recepie.

At the moment I've configured an advanced recepie view, and set security on it. And even if you just choose a recepie you have to be loged in with the user that has the rights to change the recepie as well.

So Is there any easy way around it or do I have to configure a seperate screen with this advanced view, so that the shift boss will enter all the recepies, and one separate screen where the recepie view will be configured in simple view.

Has anyone done anything like this?

Regards
Ales

I do not know if you can put security on just part of the recipe view. I have just make a recipe view object that only has a drop down list so that you can select a recipe. I put this on a screen with no security. On a separate screen I have a recipe view with the tools enabled.

If you do not want two screens, you could put two recipe view objects on top of each other on a single screen and use the visibility to secure one when the right security level is entered.
