Can someone give me info on simatic s5 plc's
What software do I need to program it?
Can I download the program that is in the plc to my pc?
Where can I get the software?

You can use step5V7.0 or PG95/Pg2000 to edit and download program from PLC. contact me if you want get more information about how to get the software.

requirement tools for simens s5 plc:
software: SIEMENS step 5 v6.x, v7.x , can run under win98,win2000.
downlaod cable: pc/tty cable, can upload or download program from or to s5 plc.
step5 software need a authorization key , but in fact, you can find the cracked step5 software in the network easily. don't need to pay even one cent.

and for the download cable, as I know that is about 100-200 us dollar,but not sure.
