identifying com failure in s300

Hi guys
I have master s300 and slave s300 for profibus communication. could Any one help me how either master or slave can identify if there is communication failure due to cable cut or some other reason.

Hello,

First step would be to go to Hardware configuration of both S7300 and see the Diagnostic buffer...
