hi,
just found a Modicon Gould 484 in the back of the boiler control room would like to talk to it to see if it does anything.
I am using proworx32 and i attempted to go online with normal modicon cable with 9 to 25 adapter on the plc end : no joy

Any ideas?

Modsoft may not even do it. IIRC, 484's had a programmer that weighed about 300 lbs... I know what we were using for 484's when I was first working with them 20 years ago wasn't a PC.

Do not confuse 984LL software with other versions of Modicon ladder logic (like 484, 584, and 884).

Like OZEE said, the typical 484 programmer was a dedicated terminal that required you to first load the 484 operating system using a magnetic tape everytime you "booted" it up.

Thanks again guys I found two programming units a p180 and a p190 the p190 is not well the p180 i've turned on and i'll read the book but the 484 is not going to have much more life.
