Wondered if anyone had experience with any of the AMCI stepper cards that integrate with the A-B hardware and RSLogix Software. In particular, I'm looking at using the Nexus 4 axis controllers. I have 8 axes, most I'm using the step and direction features to drive Oriental stepper drives. There is some coordinated motion where 3 axes have to follow one. The profile will be linear and it appears the encoder output one axis can be used as the input to another. The follower ratio can be manipulated.

Main question: Good experience? Bad experience? Problems or pitfalls? Any input is appreciated.

Nexus controllers will communicate to processor via ethernet port on processor which I have confirmed is valid.

Thanks.

I have used a lot their resolver cards for the SLC platform in the past. They were nothing short of very responsive and even made custom firmware changes in the cards to meet our needs. I would contact them directly as technically they should have someone who works on that card that can answer your questions.
