I have a Control Logix 5561 with a 1756-ENBT/A card and I need to communicate with a PV550. Panelbuilder help says I need a 1756-ENBT/B, does anybody know if I can use the current config.

Not sure if I am looking at the same thing as you, but in the manual I see where it says 1756-ENET/B.

The 1756-ENBT is a newer module and I don't think there even is a series B version. Your setup should work just fine.

Thanks, thats just confirmation that the control panel supplier has fitted the wrong card (1756-ENBT/A) when what is required is a 1756-ENBT or a 1756-ENBT/B

That didn't confirm anything. Look closer. ENET is very close to ENBT.

The original ethernet card for ControlLogix was the 1756-ENET. It was 10 base-T.

The 1756-ENBT is 100 base-T and a bridge. It has replaced the 1756-ENET.

The /B version requirement for a 1756-ENET means nothing for a 1756-ENBT. The /B usually indicates a hardware revision. It may or may not have any functional change.

If this is new equipment, you should be getting current hardware which I believe is a 1756-ENBT/B. The Panelview will probably work fine with a 1756-ENBT/A. But why would you buy old hardware?
